What's new in SMB Toolkit

Updates to the catalog and the tools, newest first.

  1. NWA50BE MAX and NWA90BE MAX, coming soon

    Two tri-band Wi-Fi 7 access points are now in the catalog: 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz, BE9300, one 2.5G port. NWA90BE MAX adds WPA-Enterprise and a captive portal. Both are marked "Coming soon" until they go on sale.

  2. The topology diagram redrawn

    Links now run as right angles, the way a network diagram is normally drawn. The speed is labelled above each device as its uplink — 10G, 2.5G PoE. Each card shows the device photo, the full model name, a quantity badge and a line of specs: ports, Wi-Fi generation, transceiver reach. Transceivers, DAC cables and antennas from the project appear as a separate row at the bottom. Hovering a device dims the links that do not belong to it, and the PDF export carries the title and the legend inside the picture.

  3. A ready tender spec for any device in the catalog

    "Download spec" — in the Device Selector cart, in the Project Builder and on a shared project — returns a finished tender specification: a sheet per model with the requirements and the quantity. The whole catalog is covered, transceivers and 4G/5G routers included.

  4. Search copes with an inexact query and with part numbers

    Model search on the SMB Comparison page no longer needs the exact spelling. It copes with a vendor name in the query, with licence, region and hardware-revision suffixes, and with a whole tender line pasted in with its quantity — and it now searches by part number as well as by model.

  5. Two new switch series, coming soon

    The CX3800 and GS1915 v2 series are now in the catalog, marked "Coming soon" until they go on sale. CX3800 brings 25G uplinks to the Project Builder — pick 25 Gbps in the Switching step and the access switches, core and SFP28 transceivers are selected to match.

  6. Tender BOM converter

    Paste a whole tender list — competitor models or part numbers with quantities — and get similar Zyxel models for every line, with XLSX export and a one-click hand-off to the cart. Find it via the link under the search box on the SMB Comparison page.

  7. Bigger competitor switch catalog

    SMB Comparison now covers more Cisco, Huawei, Juniper, MikroTik, Ruijie and QTECH switch models.

  8. Smarter competitor matching

    SMB Comparison picks the Zyxel equivalent algorithmically and shows up to three candidates, ranked by how closely they match, with a parameter-by-parameter table. Click the chips to tune which parameters are critical.
